Data quality is a shared responsibility

Quality is not only a final check. It starts with collection, continues during data entry and is strengthened during review. Everyone who adds, corrects or publishes information contributes to overall confidence in the platform.

Contributors bring proximity to the field and primary sources. Reviewers bring consistency, traceability and comparison across multiple pieces of information. Administrators maintain reference data, access rights and publication rules.

CLIMAP helps structure these responsibilities, but the platform does not replace professional practice. Documenting a source, flagging uncertainty, answering questions and avoiding duplicates remain the most important habits for producing useful data.
